Sint Jans Church

The Sint Jans church in Hoorn is the oldest still existing building on Terschelling and a unique historical landmark. This photogenic medieval church, which has stood on the island since the 13th century, breathes history and offers a unique glimpse into the past of Terschelling.

- The Sjouw – The Time Ball: Near the church stands the Sjouw, also known as the 'time ball'. This ball was once hoisted to signal to workers that it was time to go home for lunch. A lovely piece of Terschelling history!
