The Bluescruise is a musical sailing weekend in which historic sailing ships carry blues bands and music lovers from Harlingen to Terschelling and back.
When: every year on the last weekend of September, from Friday to Sunday.
Friday: from late afternoon there is blues in Harlingen; in the evening you board your ship, where you also spend the night.
Saturday: after breakfast and a short sailing briefing, the fleet sets course for West-Terschelling, where blues bands play in the cafés in the evening.
Sunday: in the morning the fleet sails back to Harlingen.
On board: meals and drinks on board are included; everyone is expected to lend a hand with the cooking and washing up.
Without the cruise: the performances in the cafés on Terschelling are free to attend.
