• A look into the cheese-making process: The doors open at 10:00 and the tour in the cheese-making facility starts at 10:30. The farmer will take you step by step through the process from milk to cheese.
• Discover farm life: Around 11:00, the farmer takes over and shares everything about farming life on Terschelling. In about an hour, you will learn what it is like to work and live on a Wadden Island.
• Nine types of cheese: The farm produces cheese in an artisanal way, without artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives. Taste the unique Terschelling farmhouse cheese in flavours such as chive, nettle, garlic, clove, pepper, cumin, mustard, and fenugreek.
• Specific island taste: The cows graze in the polder behind Lies, where the salty sea wind naturally salts the grass. This gives the cheese a subtle, typical Terschelling flavour.
• Cheese shop: After the tour, you can visit the shop, where besides their own cheese, yoghurt, and butter, other island products are available. Think of cranberry and blueberry jam, honey, mustard, and artisanal souvenirs like clogs and kitchenware.
• Fun activities for all ages: During school holidays, special activity days are organised. Learn how cheese is made, discover farm life, and enjoy an educational excursion.
