Het Groene Strand - Nature

Het Groene Strand is a unique nature reserve where the sea and land meet. It is a dynamic area that is constantly changing under the influence of the tides.
- Tidal area: This area is strongly influenced by ebb and flow, creating an ever-changing landscape. Ideal for mudflat hiking and exploring the tidal flats. Guided tours are often organised by local guides.
- Birdwatching: Like De Boschplaat, Het Groene Strand is an important area for birds. Bring your binoculars and enjoy the many species to be seen here. In spring and autumn, this is a key stopover for migratory birds.
- Peace and space: This is one of the quietest spots on Terschelling. Perfect for those who want to completely get away from it all. Here you can fully enjoy the nature and the tranquillity.
A unique natural area with surprising contrasts.
