The Brandarisrace is a spectacular sailing race held every year in October. From Harlingen, classic flat-bottomed ships such as clippers, tjalks, and skûtsjes compete to be the first to reach the harbour of West-Terschelling.
What Makes the Brandarisrace Special

Parade of Classic Ships: Up to 80 historic ships participate, making this race one of the largest events in the Dutch brown fleet.
Spectacular Sight: Admire the start in Harlingen and the finish on Terschelling, where these majestic ships can be seen in full action.
Festive Atmosphere: After the race, the celebrations on Terschelling become even more lively with maritime activities.
